After a failed root canal from my regular dentist who couldn't get all of the root out w/o causing me pain, I went to see Dr. Monts. He's a busy man so it took a month to get in to see him but the experience was fantastic. (He could have seen me sooner on an emergency basis, but it wasn't necessary).

He was able to finish the procedure with complete success and w/o pain, largely due to knowing exactly where and how to best apply anesthetic, but his experience and expertise with the procedure over and above my own regular dentist was also quite apparent. He had a professional yet friendly demeanor, and his staff were extremely courteous and helpful, even assisting with making sure my regular dentist's insurance claim was reversed from the failed procedure before making their own claim. The offices were clean, tastefully decorated and top notch, even including an LCD monitor to allow the patient to watch the procedure if they wish. He evidently charges more for his expertise (my copay percentage for the procedure was $75 higher than for my regular dentist), but as a specialist he is well worth it. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone else requiring the expertise of an endodontist.

Very nice facility and staff. I don't think a root canal can be enjoyable, but with the doctor, staff, awesome facility and personal television (and full control of the remote) it was the best it could possibly be.

Wow!!! I really wish I could have all my dental needs taken care of in this office. The doctor and staff are awesome. I am generally "paranoid" with aseptic technique when visiting a dentist. I can assure you that everyone washed their hands and put on gloves (right in front of me) before touching me or anything else in the room. The procedure was done quickly and painlessly. Thank you Dr. Monts. I want to tell everyone about your office.

Dr. Monts is the very best!!!! Last week I woke up with an infection above a tooth that had a root canal at least 10 years ago and my doctor recommended me to see Dr. Monts. They would've seen me that same day but I couldn't go that day. I went in yesterday and everyone in the office is very professional and nice. I'm 32 weeks pregnant and was very worried about having any type of work done but as soon as I sat down on the chair he explained everything to me and put my mind at ease. I love the fact that I could watch ESPN while he was performing the procedure. I have to go back to finish the procedure and actually look forward to it. The assistant Nicoleta uses grape scented gloves which made it easy on the nose too. As soon as I got out of the office, I called my husband to tell him that Dr. Monts would be the one performing his root canals as well. I didnt know which star to put under cost because I don't know where he ranks in price but I do have to say that I would gladly pay anything that my insurance doesnt in order for him to treat me again. Highly recommend him to anyone!!!

His staff was so friendly and helpful ~ they worked me in the same day.

Customer Service like your an all-star!!

I am actually not a patient of Dr Monts, even better, I'm a dentist. I have a practice in Dallas and had a patient that was in Austin for business, when he was woken with a terrible tooth ache. I called Dr. Monts' office and was treated so efficiently by his office staff. They contacted my patient for me and got him in with in the hour!!! My patient and his wife called back to thank me for the referal saying how thorough Dr Mont was and how comfortable he made my patient feel. Dr Mont also called me following this apointment to keep me updated on the condition of my patient. What a class act, our profession is lucky to have a guy like this!
