I have been using Invisalign under Dr. Smith's care for near two years. I am a college professor and because I lecture a lot, I am conscious of the appearance of my teeth. My front teeth have always been crooked. Using Invisalign has straightened them significantly, as well as the side and back teeth. I enjoy my monthly visits with Dr. Smith, because he not only discusses how my treatment is progressing, but also, when time permits, his several hobbies, such as script writing. I find him to be a consummate professonal with a variety of interests. His assistants, Gerod and Brad, always know what Dr. Smith wants them to do for me, and they do so in a friendly, conversational style. Both are interested in environmental and wildlife issues, as am I, and we exchange views about them until it's time for me to shut up and put in my new set of Aligners. I highly recommend Dr. Brian Smith and his staff.

Dr. Smith is a wonderful orthodontist and his offices are truly beautiful, clean, and relaxing. There's always a fun contest going on, there are boy and girl toothbrushing areas that are decorated so nicely... I could go on and on. His staff is friendly and the office is run efficiently (I wish I could say the same for my daughter's orthodontist). I thought my Invisalign was expensive, but I don't think that's unique to Dr. Smith - the Invisalign trays and treatment are just expensive and no one over 18 can get ortho benefits on my (or just about anyone else's) dental plan.

Dr. Smith is calm, sweet, and truly interested in each patient he sees. His assistants (techs?) are just as professional and I never get to read any magazines in the waiting room - because I only have a minute to sit down before they call me in!

His offices are right across from Westlake High School and I would highly recommend Dr. Smith for orthodontic work.

My daughters have been patients of Dr. Smith's for about 12 years now...since they were in elem. school. He has always been extremely patient, calm, understanding, and willing to explain the procedural aspects of the various work necessary. He continues to be patient when one tries to "bargain" with him on the retainer that has to be worn...the size, the time frame, the postion! He deals with it in a humorous yet compassionate way. We luckily only had a few emergencies during the braces era, but Dr. Smith was immediately available to help us, checking up on us later. His staff has always been professional and courteous but also a lot of fun. We LOVE Dr. Smith!

As the wife of a dentist and myself a doctoral level professional, I came to Dr. Smith with lofty expectations for successful completion of my invisalign treatment. He graciously agreed to take my case in what was supposed to be the final few months of a 3 year process. After several months of treatment, it was determined that traditional braces would be required to achieve the "near perfect" smile I had hoped to attain. Knowing the level of importance I place on aesthetics, Dr. Smith suggested clear braces so that I might maintain a more subtle, natural look. I initially went to Dr. Smith, in my late forties, to have some teeth straightened to accomodate a new bridge. He was professional and extremely competent in dealing with my situation and was highly complemented by the General Dentist who did the bridge work. Years later, I went back to Dr. Smith because of an overbite problem with my upper front teeth. Again he impressed me with his professionalism and concern for my condition. After correcting my overbite, he designed a retainer for my particular needs and continues to be responsive to my requirements, i.e., broken retainers, etc.. Dr. Smith's practice is first rate in every regard; from office management (my perspective), and that includes billing, appointments, and patient-staff relationships. Nor can I think of a single thing from my personal experience that I would change. In closing I would just add that I recommend him to anyone needing orthodontal work, and that includes both the young and the not quite so young.

As a high school student, the whole metal gear upon my teeth was not appealing. Dr. Smith recommended I use the clear porcelain braces on my upper teeth and the old-school metal kind on the bottom; overall, the metal braces never show and the clear ones pretty much are invisible. They also stay clean: no staining or breakage.

I first found Dr. Smith through my insurance company, but he also came highly recommended by both my dentist and oral surgeon. I had braces as a kid, but I developed a jaw abnormality in my early 20's. It caused me to drool once in a while when I slept, grind my teeth, and have a lopsided smile.

At age 32, I finally decided to get the surgery necessary to correct my bite. Dr. Smith did a great job working with both my dentist and oral surgeon to make sure they knew what I needed in terms of treatment. This was a very involved surgery that required the orthodontist to be the "quarterback."

I'm 35 now, so it's taken a little over 3 years for me to complete my entire treatment and surgery, but it's well worth it! I feel completely confident about my profile and smile now!

I thought his service was a little pricey at first compared to other quotes; however, I decided that my health was priceless. Also, it's comforting to be in an office that invests a lot in itself and doesn't nickle and dime you. He's got a first rate office.

I also love Dr. Smith's facility and staff! They're always very friendly and accommodating. There's lots of nice little amenities to make both the patients and persons waiting comfortable.

My daughter has been Dr. Smith's patient for the last 2 years. Since she is an international student, we don't have an insurance for her treatment, so the cost has been the biggest concern. But the cost for the whole 2 years' treatment turned out to be a lot less than we expected. One other unique problem she had was her irregularly shaped jaw which many doctors had previously recommended a corrective surgery. Dr. Smith introduced us the best local Maxillofacial surgeon so that she could have a proper evaluation there. Due to the high cost and inconvenience to have a surgery in U.S., we later considered to have one in Korea, and Dr. Smith prepared us all the necessary materials including a letter of reference so that she could have a surgery in Korea while she has a treatment with Dr. Smith. He was very flexible and willing to help her in any possible way around. I felt very relieved since I knew that she was getting the most proper treatment with her odd situation under Dr. Smith's care. I will certainly recommend his office to anyone who needs a special care and understanding like my daughter.

As I write this review, my son is having his braces removed. He is estatic because he can't wait to show off his fantastic smile after the wonderful job Dr. Smith and his staff did on his mouth.

Dr. Smith and his staff have always been very helpful and professional to me as a parent. But the biggest gift they gave to my son was the inclusion of him in his treatment. They have always talked not only to me but have been sure to include my son in the discussions so he knew exactly what to expect and when. This has gone a long way in helping with the inevitable " I hate braces" stage because of the obvious things kids love to eat and chew and can't, and the extra care that comes with braces

They have always been very flexible in trying to schedule appointments around a parents hectic schedule of work and kids. As well as letting grandparents (who help shuttle to appointments) pass along necessay information aside from the standard "please have his mom call."

My family got to know Dr. Smith as a result of our pediatric dentist's recommendation over 5 years ago. At that time, our 12 year old son had severe orthodonic and orthopedic problems in the mouth and jaw, even though not visibly recognizeable. We were told that surgery might have to be an option, but Dr. Smith wanted to first try other methods to correct his problems. Our son, which Dr. Smith said was in his top five worse cases, never had to have surgery. Dr. Smith, along with his exemplary staff, took painstaking steps to correct his problem, which resulted in a beautiful smile.

We have two other children that have had braces from Dr. Smith, one just got hers off, and one more that will be getting her braces this month. Therefore, we have had extensive experience with him and his staff. We can attest to the fact that they are the most professional, patient, and friendly team that we have ever experienced. Dr. Smith hasput braces on my two boys. My older son has had his braces off for 2 years and he gets compliments about his smile all of the time. My younger son has had his braces on for about 1 1/2 years so we go to Dr. Smith about once a month. Dr. Smith's staff is professional and friendly. They know all of the patients by name which makes the kids feel comfortable right away. Dr. Smith greets my son with a warm, sincere and frlendly smile. I like the fact that he is always involved in every visit. It is obvious that he cares about all of his patients. His location is great and almost all of the parking spaces are in the shade and we need that this time of year. We don't have dental insurance so I shopped around and found that he is very reasonably priced. Many of my friends have used Dr. Smith so what better recommendation than word of mouth. Our family has been very happy with Dr. Smith and his staff. They are super helpful with Insurance issues and explain everything up front. Dr. Smith and staff are very friendly and calm. My son needed an expander for a year and it worked 100% to correct his cross bite. Then, when he needed braces we couldn't quite afford it at the time and they were very nice about rescheduling the appts. and putting us on a payment schedule that we could afford. It is VERY convenient to the high school. Dr. Smith has been our family orthodontist for 3 out of 4 of our children. (So far the 4th child does not have braces in her future). Dr. Smith lays out a reasonable treatment plan with costs which are competitive and a payment plan which is workable with your family's budget. The technology he uses to develop a treatment plan is state of the art. We were amazed! He is fair in his treatment, he lays out clear expectations with his patients and follows through. Dr. Smith and his staff are fabulous. He was recommended to us by a dentist, who's son was treated by Dr. Smith with amazing results. Dr. Smith and Staff are the best!!!

Dr. Smith put braces on all 3 of our boy and me (I have the invisalign braces). The treatment on the older boys is complete and their teeth are beautiful! Treatment on our youngest and me is moving along smoothly and faster than expected.

Dr. Smith's prices are very competitive. His staff will work with your insurance carrier, and for those with a tight cash flow (like me), they will work out a payment plan for out of pocket expenses.

I highly recommend Dr. Smith for any orthodontic work on kids and adults. He and his staff will take great care of you and your family!

Dr. Smith was recommended to me by my Dentist and it has been a great experience. I was not looking forward to braces as a 35-year old working professional but Dr. Smith has made it an easy experience. He took the time to understand my life-style and work needs and recommended a mix of traditional metal and clear braces. He and his staff were always professional, courteous, cheerful and accomodating to my busy schedule of juggling work and young children. The waiting room is very comfortable but I hardly got to use it because almost as soon as you arrive, even if you are 10-minutes early, they'll start seeing you right away. If by chance, Dr. Smith is still practicing when my children are teenagers and need braces, I'll be coming back to him without question.

First of all, we love the fact that Dr. Smith's office is right across the street from the high school our kids attend, so they can walk to appointments and minimize the time they miss from school. So it's just added gravy that his results and chairside manner are top-notch, and his staff is friendly, efficient, and extremely flexible with payments and appointments. My impression is they do a good job sticking to their appointment schedule, but the office has lots of books, games, and even a PC for the patients to use while waiting.

Dr. Smith implemented an inovative post-Halloween program to literally buy back candy collected by his patients. This was an eye-opener for our kids, and reinforced for them the value of making good choices regarding their teeth.

So our initial selection of Brian Smith was one of convenience, but now I'd drive across town to take my kids to him. I don't normally take the time to write "testimonials" for a business unless they've really impressed me, but that's the case here. You can't go wrong choosing Brian Smith for orthodontics.

I went to Dr. Smith's office because I previously had Orthodontic treatment in Austin & was given the traditional removable retainer for my upper teeth and a bonded permanent retainer for my lower teeth. I didn't wear my upper retainer as consistently as I should have and my teeth started shifting. Before long, I was not able to even use my upper retainer. I went to Dr. Smith & he is utilizing the same method for the upper & lower retainers, both bonded permanent retainers to prevent shifting. I was first frustrated that my Orthodontist didn't offer me this option. Dr. Smith was extremely professional and didn't underhand the other doctors method, he simply treated me with a series of aligners he & his staff made (to better assist me with the cost). After I used the set of aligners (8 weeks of treatment), he then bonded a permanent retainer in my upper teeth. I really wish that I had gone to Dr. Smith before so I could have completely prevented the shifting! I did call other Orthodontists to see if they used this method and to my surprise, I couldn't find anyone else in the Austin area that was doing something to prevent patients from needing treatment later!

THANK YOU SO MUCH DR. SMITH...I never have to worry again!

This group of health care professionals treat you like family. You feel welcome and there is a personal and professional relationship with outstanding communication. Dr. Smith works very hard to have a strong professional team and that is apparent in the obivious connection and respect the staff has to each other as well as their patients. Dr.Smith is conservative and waited 4 years before recommending the application of braces. His attention to detail and partnering with his patients is evident at every turn. The results are spectaclular and we couldn't be happier.

Dr. Smith and his staff are wonderful!!!!!! It was a couple months before my wedding, and I realized that my teeth were starting to shift. Dr. Smith's office is wonderful! Not every orthodontist goes to quite the lengths Dr. Smith's office does to make you feel comfortable. Very accomodating and pleasant.

I went to Dr. Smith for teeth whitening services and found out that I may need braces to correct a skeletal issue that causes a misalignment of my teeth on one side. Dr. Smith explained the issue in terms I could understand and provided scenarios and possible treatments for me to consider. I appreciate his knowledge and understanding of both orthodontic issues and the possible effects of treatment on my personal and professional life.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Smith to anyone!

I first went to Dr. Smith's office in Sept 2006. I was evaluating the different orthodontists in the Austin area, and Dr. Smith by far impressed me the most. When comparing the different costs, his office was about $200 in the initial estimate, however when he found out he dropped the $200, plus an additional $500 off the cost. At the time he offered Orthoclear treatment and conventional treatment for the same cost. I naturally chose the Orthoclear treatment. However, Orthoclear eventually discontinued their treatment before I received my aligners, so Dr. Smith submitted my case to Invisalign. Eventually, we found out the wait would be around 6 months, so Dr. Smith told me I could wait for the Invisalign aligners to come in, or he would give me conventional braces at no added cost. I thought this was great, as I don't think many orthodontists would give this option for free to their patients. All in all, it was a great experience.

I am a transfer patient and a college student. When I came to Dr. Smith I had a developing jaw problem. My previous orthodontist was somewhat incompetent and placed the braces unevenly on my teeth causing my jaw to click. I told Dr Smith about my problem and he was able to moderate the clicking within weeks. Now my jaw rarely clicks and there is very little pain. He definitely knows what he is doing. Other than that, my teeth appear to be coming along nicely.

The people at the front desk seem to be really polite. They know all patients on a first name basis and seem happy to see them. Dr. Smith's assistants are efficient workers and enjoy having conversations with patients.

I am not familiar with the rates of other orthodontists in the Austin area, but it seems that Dr Smith's services are reasonably priced.

I was 36 when I first saw Dr. Smith. I was more than a little nervous, but he and his staff have been very professional and really eased my tension. They were very helpful in explaining all payment options. They have been very courteous in all dealings. They will address you by name and make you feel very comfortable upon entering their facility. I am still being seen, but so far the results have been well worth the effort. I have never had to wait past my scheduled appointment time, and often get seen before. Those of you on a tight schedule will appreciate this. I would highly suggest to any adult trying to decide on an orthodontist, to see Dr. Smith.

I received very little pain, and the procedures were effective in helping me see quick results. Dr. Smith and his assistants were respectful, and made me feel comftorable during my monthly visits. As a recent college grad, the last thing I wanted was braces, but Dr. Smith expanded my upper teeth to give me a Julia Roberts smile and straightened my bottom teeth painlessly with Invisalign braces- no one could even see them! Although his office was nice enough, he was redoing it last time I went it, and it's even nicer. His staff is really wonderful, and he is knowledgeable, friendly and very professional. I would recommend him to any of my friends and family because I have been extremely happy with the cost of my treatment as well as the result.
