One Visit Crowns
(added October 22, 2009)
In most cases, a crown would take two visits to complete. A tooth must usually be reduced in size to accommodate a crown. A cast is made of the existing tooth and an impression is made. The impression is sent to a special lab, which manufactures a custom-designed crown. In some cases, a temporary crown is applied until the permanent crown is ready. Permanent crowns are cemented in place within about 2-3 weeks from the initial appointment.
BUSY SCHEDULE? Our office provides our patients with high tech equiptment which now allows patients to skip that second appointment! In most cases, the crown can be made on our CEREC machine and patients leave the office with their permanent crown the same day.
